We all know that exercising is healthy, so we need to do it, right? What you may not know is that by twenty-twenty 75% of the US will be obese. That means 3 out of 4 people YOU know will be dangerously overweight. I don’t know about you, but this worries me. It makes me sad, it makes me wonder how and why is this happening?!?! I could blame it on the fast food industry, the health care system, the sugar addiction, the lack of physical activity in schools and the list goes on. Unfortunately I don’t have one solid answer for you. What I do know is that I don’t want my children and grandchildren growing up to believe that bodily neglect is acceptable, because that will be the norm. So, I am here to help. I want to be a vehicle and support for change, I want to help women and men alike start taking pride in their bodies and embracing an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
I believe that God gave us these these amazingly complex and perfectly structured bodies to experience and embrace life’s hurdles. Our bodies are vehicles for movement, we are made to use and enjoy our body, to let our body empower us; not let ourselves deteriorate and hinder us from the pleasures of life. We all must take pride in the body we have, and must learn to challenge and develop it to the best of our ability.
It is important to understand that each and every one of you are made perfectly different, you are the only person who can to enjoy your life to the fullest and you can only do this by taking time to use and exercise your body. So, do not judge and compare yourself to others, use this time to embrace your beautiful body and unique abilities and learn to empower and support other women in their path in life as well.
Climbing mountains, running in the rain, roller skating, dancing! Our bodies are capable of exuding and sensing so much joy from everyday physical activities. This is just one of the many reasons it is important to maintain our physical well-being, in order that we may fully experience joy in this world. I believe we were put here on this earth to enjoy life through our body, mind and spirit, focusing on each area of life to live a balanced healthy lifestyle. Let’s do it together!
For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
